Our city currently has fifteen sanitation workers running seven sanitation trucks and one recycling truck five days a week to keep the City of West Fargo clean. Sanitation Manager, Dennis Correll, and his crew are committed to providing convenient and affordable solid waste services to the citizens of West Fargo. They provide residential and commerical waste disposal, as well as, curbside recycling.
Residential garbage curb side pick up costs $10.00 a month and the recycling program has a one time fee of $10.00 to buy the West Fargo recycling bin. More information on the trash and recycling programs are available in the brochures below.
Roll-offs are available from the City of West fargo for commercial accounts and residential construction projects. Please contact Gloreen at (701) 433-5410 or Dennis at (701) 433-5405 to arrange pick up or delivery of a roll-off. The sanitation department can help assess your needs and set up the right service for you.

WEST FARGO CLEANUP WEEK RULES (date to be announced for 2010 cleanup week):
Place all materials out on your curb by 6:30 am on your garbage day (please do not set items out more than one day early), they will send trucks back to keep picking up and until it is all picked up. Items must be from residences--NO commercial waste will be accepted.
Please separate items into distinct piles ( tires, appliances, brush, household garbage, etc) and smaller items in disposable containers that are separated by type of waste.
Please remove refrigerator and freezer doors- DO NOT place any food or waste inside appliances.
Building materials will be collected--NO concrete or dirt is accepted.
Waste oil, paints, varnishes and other household hazardous waste should have their lids on securely and be placed in a separate, marked container. We collect this waste year-round on your garbage pick up day. Or you can bring them directly to the Household Hazardous Waste site yourself free of charge. It is located at 606 43 1/2 Street North in Fargo (east of 45th Street on the south side of 7th Avenue North). They are open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on the second Saturday of each month from 8 am to noon.
Bundle and tie brush in 4 foot lengths; logs must be no more than 4 feet long and 10 inches across.
We collect tires, appliances, and batteries at the curb all year long on your garbage pickup day.
