Who do I contact if I have a question about a current City construction project?

If you have any questions or concerns with a current City construction project please contact the Engineering Department at wfconst@mooreengineeringinc.com. Concerns with specific new building issues should be addressed to the Building Inspections Department. Older infrastructure issues: street lights being out, potholes, damaged street signs etc. should be addressed to the Public Works Department at (701) 433-5410.
What is the sales tax in West Fargo?

The sales tax in West Fargo is 6.5%. 5% for the State of North Dakota, .5% for Cass County and 1% for the City of West Fargo.

City Administrator

The City Administrator is appointed by the City Commission and serves as West Fargo’s Chief Executive Officer. Tasks include executing professional leadership in the management of the city and implementing City Commission policies. The City Administrator is also the leading authority that provides effective municipal services through the coordination and direction of all City finance and personnel activities. The City Administrator oversees the day to day functions of the city and coordinates the city departments.

Services

Presents recommendations and information to enable the City Commission to make decisions on matters of policy
Responding promptly and positively to all inquiries and requests of citizens
Disseminating information regarding City activities
Providing input on regional, state and federal issues which affect the City of West Fargo
Conducting audits and studies of fiscal procedures and transactions within the City
Maintaining a sound fiscal position for the City through the preparation of the annual budget
Providing continuous monitoring of financial conditions of the City
