                                                                      • Consultation of system design
                                                                        • Existing sewer evaluation

Swimming Pools and Whirlpools

  • Weekly and monthly water quality testing
    • Annual facility inspections
      • Approve new pool plans
        • Consultation and information

          Underground/Aboveground Storage Tanks and Related Petroleum Equipment

        • Monitor for petroleum contamination associated with spills and/or releases
          • Consultation and information regarding environmental compliance
            • Approve and regulate land farms used to recycle contaminated soil

              Hazardous Material Response Team

            • Provide support for local fire departments associated with hazardous releases/spills
              • Advise and monitor proper clean up and disposal of hazardous wastes
                • Provide information for the media and associated agencies
                  • Notify State and Federal agencies

                    Groundwater Pollution

                  • Monitor the excavation of contaminated soil, which might impact groundwater
                    • Monitor sewage lagoons in order to comply with standards

                      Animal Control

                    • License and inspect commercial pet stores
                      • Provide assistance with rodent, bird and animal problems

                        Education Program

                      • Field training for student nurses and internships
                        • Conduct classroom and requested presentations
                          • Provide written pamphlet and handout information
                            • Provide information for media and associated agencies

                              Miscellaneous or Requested Inspections

                            • Boarding Homes, fairgrounds, jails, private residences, businesses, churches or detention facilities. Social service visits upon request.
