City Departments

The Commission

West Fargo is governed by a City Commission made up of a number of Boards and Committees that meet throughout the year such as: the Planning and Zoning Commission and the city Economic Development Committee. Meetings are held in the chamber of the West Fargo City Hall. Residents are welcome to take an active role in their government by attending these meetings.

City Hall

City Hall offices have recently been relocated to a freshly remodeled government building that previously housed the West Fargo Public Library. The remodeling created a large reception area and additional office spaces for employees of West Fargo to work more efficiently.

West Fargo City Hall shares a building with the West Fargo Police Department and houses employees from several city agencies including the Office of the Mayor, Office of the Assessor, Office of the Auditor, Department of Economic Development, and the Department of Planning.

Boards and Commissions

Several boards and commissions, including the West Fargo City Commission, the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the city Board of Equalization, hold their meetings in the chambers inside the West Fargo City Hall. Residents are welcome to take an active role in their government by attending these meetings.
