Payment Options

Utility and city services bills can be paid via mail, drop-off locations, online or as an automatic payment with a pre-authorized checking or savings account. The City of West Fargo accepts cash, check, money order, automatic bank account payments, credit card or debit card for payment.*

*Please note, a 3 percent convenience fee will be added for any credit card and debit card payments.

Automatic Payments:

Residents can pay their City of West Fargo utility service bill with an automatic, recurring payment from a checking or saving account. To set up these payments, complete the Utility Bill Debit Form.

Online Payments:

Residents can pay their City of West Fargo utility service bill online using a checking account, credit card or debit card.*

Mail Payments:

Residents can pay their City of West Fargo utility and services bill by mail using a check, cash or money order.

In-Person Payments:

Residents can pay their City of West Fargo utility and services bill in person by cash, check, money order, credit card or debit card.*

Phone Payments:

Residents can pay their City of West Fargo utility and services bill over the phone by credit card or debit card* by calling 701-433-5300.

Drop-Off Payments:

Residents can pay their City of West Fargo utility and services bill by drop off using a check, cash or money order.

  • West Fargo City Hall Drop Box (near south side City Hall entrance)
  • Family Fare Drop Box (1100 13th Avenue E., West Fargo)

Delinquent Accounts:

Any payment not received by the 15th of each month causes an account to become delinquent.  There is a $10 late fee that will be assessed monthly on an account that is carrying an unpaid balance and the residence becomes subject to utility disconnection and service cancellation. 

To re-establish service, a $100 reconnection fee and payment in full must be made at City Hall with cash, credit card*, debit card* or a money order between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. The City of West Fargo does not reconnect service after 2 p.m. weekdays. 

Payments that are returned from the bank for nonpayment will be charged a $20 fee and are subject to immediate disconnection and cancellation.

Emailed Statements:

If you would like your monthly bill emailed to you instead of mailed, please email Utility.Billing@westfargond.gov and provide your preferred email address along with your service address.
