The 2010 construction season has started in the City of West Fargo. The City currently has 25 open projects.  To help inform the public we have posted a construction map and a Construction Progress Report.  Our inspectors and project managers will be posting timely updates on the West Fargo Public Works facebook page as each project progresses and impacts change. 

7th Avenue East between 9th Street and 17th Street:  Purpose of construction is to replace deteriorated pavements.  Street calming will also be included to enhave safety to the traveling public.   Construction began April 14th and is expected to be completed by August 15th.   Detour routes and access to the High School and Veterans Arena will be changing throughout construction.

8th Street West and 2nd Avenue West:   Purpose of construction is to replace a sanitary sewer lift station and its associated force main.  The street will need to be replaced to allow for construction on the force main.  The resulting street will be narrowed, it will also provide for existing parking and will incorporate several traffic calming measures to measures to enhance safety for the traveling public.   Construction begin on April 14th.  During this time, drivers are asked to take an alley detour on 3rd Avenue West through Westgo.  The second phase will be the section of 8th Street West between 2nd Avenue West and 4th Avenue West.  This project is expected to finish around August 15th.

Center Street from Main Avenue to 7th Avenue NE:   Purpose of construction is to replace sanitary force main.  The roadway will need to be reconstructed along this corridor.  The roadway will be closed to traffic and a detour will be put in place to direct traffic to either 9th Street East or County Road 19.  Construction will be started shortly.
