[ARCHIVED] West Fargo Police Department now accepting applications for annual Citizens Police Academy

Citizens Police Academy

The West Fargo Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2020 Citizens Police Academy session. This year’s session will run 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday’s March 12 to May 14, 2020. Applications are due Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, and can be found online at www.westfargopolice.com/CitizensAcademy.

This free, 10-week program is designed to give citizens the opportunity to experience the daily work of the West Fargo Police Department through classroom training and hands-on experiences. Topics for this year’s class include investigations, narcotics, Red River Valley SWAT Team, facility tours, West Fargo Fire Department, firearms, the K-9 division, traffic stops and more.

Applicants must be a resident of the City of West Fargo or currently employed in West Fargo and 20 years of age or older. Selected applications will be notified. Only chosen and notified applicants are able to participate in the program.
