[ARCHIVED] West Fargo Fire Department responds to early morning structure fire

Overnight Fire

At 3:45 a.m., Thursday, June 4, the West Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 519 Third Ave. NW in West Fargo. Upon arrival, firefighters saw a single stall detached garage fully engulfed in flames. The three occupants of the house were already outside as a passerby knocked on their door and got them out.

Firefighters took an offensive attack to the fire and knocked down the flames. The fire was controlled within 45 minutes. No one was injured.

There was slight smoke damage to the house. A van in the driveway and the single-stall garage were destroyed. A ladder, an engine, rescue and the battalion chief responded to the fire.

Cost of damages and cause of the fire is still under investigation. No further comments will be made at this time.
