The upcoming Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays will cause changes to the City of West Fargo’s garbage and recycling collection schedules and closures.
- Friday, Dec. 22 (Christmas Eve observed): There will be no residential or commercial garbage collection Friday, Dec. 22. Garbage collection regularly scheduled for Friday, Dec. 22, will take place Thursday, Dec. 21. There are no changes to the recycling schedule.
- Monday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day observed): There will be no recycling and residential or commercial garbage collection Monday, Dec. 25. Garbage and recycling collection regularly scheduled for Monday, Dec. 25, will be picked up Tuesday, Dec. 26. Recycling collection will be delayed by one day the rest of the week, including Friday’s collection Saturday.
- Monday, Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day observed): There will be no recycling and residential or commercial garbage collection Monday, Jan. 1. Garbage and recycling collection regularly scheduled for Monday, Jan. 1, will be picked up Tuesday, Jan. 2. Recycling collection will be delayed by one day the rest of the week, including Friday’s collection Saturday.
The police department lobby, city hall, and public works department will close Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1 in observation of the holidays.
