West Fargo Events, along with its partners Essentia Health, City of West Fargo, WFHS Packers, WF Sheyenne Mustangs, WF United and WF Stampede, are proud to announce a new winter hockey event – Essentia Health West Fargo Winter Classic. 

From Dec. 28, 2021, through Jan. 2, 2022, the City of West Fargo’s Essentia Health Plaza at The Lights district and West Fargo Public School’s West Fargo Sports Arena will host a special hockey event with 100 hockey games played in a six-day celebration of the sport. The festive atmosphere is expected to have winter themed vendors, bonfires, entertainment, door prizes, giveaways, and charitable gaming. 

Hockey games will be played on 3 regulation sheets of ice both outdoors and inside with select games being broadcast on regional television. Games are expected to feature teams across multiple age divisions, starting at 12 and under for boys and girls youth divisions and boys and girls high school hockey teams. Tournament participants are expected to be coming from all-around the region including North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and beyond.
