The West Fargo Police Department is on scene of a reported shooting that happened around 8:50 p.m. Sunday evening in the 1500 block of 11th Ave. E in West Fargo. There is one victim at this time with non-life threatening injuries. This is a very active investigation. Officers and detectives are still on scene gathering information and evidence. We are asking the public that if they have any information, specifically video, to call the West Fargo Police Department at 701-433-5500.

MONDAY UPDATE:

At 8:50 p.m., Sunday, March 21, 2021, the West Fargo Police Department responded to a report of a shooting that happened around 8:50 p.m. in the 1500 block of 11th Avenue E.

When officers arrived, they found a juvenile had been shot during the incident. Upon investigation, the West Fargo Police Department discovered that this was not a random shooting. An occupant of the property was targeted due to involvement in an altercation that happened earlier in the day. The juvenile was not the intended target of the shooting and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a hospital and last known to be in stable condition.

The West Fargo Police Department is following up on leads and conducting additional interviews regarding this incident. This incident is still ongoing and under investigation.
