PD News Release Template

The West Fargo Police Department has arrested two individuals in relation to the Sunday, March 21, 2021, shooting in the 1500 block of 11th Avenue E.

Garrett Harm Morin, a 20-year-old male from Moorhead and Deonta David Taylor, a 20-year-old male from Fargo, have been arrested for attempted murder. This incident was targeted to the individuals involved and not the larger community.

The West Fargo Police Department is continuing to search for additional persons of interest who are believed to be involved in this shooting. If you have any information, pictures or video of Sunday’s incident, which happened around 8:50 p.m., contact the police department at (701) 433-5500.

This is still an ongoing investigation that limits the amount of information that can be released on the matter. When verified information is available it will be released in a timely, efficient manner that does not hinder the investigation.

The department’s top priority is the safety and security of our community. These arrests are a result of officers working around the clock to hold the parties responsible for their actions and they will continue to do so. They are commended for their brave, quick actions that resulted in identifying and arresting these two suspects from Sunday’s incident.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the shooting victim and family. We would also like to thank the Fargo Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for their assistance.
