More appointments for West Fargo residents to get their vehicle’s catalytic converter marked are now available noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 25. Most scrapyards or shops will not buy converters with paint or marks because it is a sign it is stolen. The original appointments filled two hours after announcing the initiative yesterday.
Appointments are required for the service. To sign up, go to this link or go to www.westfargopolice.com and click the Service Alert button at the top of the page. The original announcement is available on the department’s site.
This service is free through a partnership between the West Fargo Police Department’s Community Outreach Programs and Services Unit, The Jay Thomas Show at AM 970 WDAY and FM 93.1, and Dave’s West Fargo Tire and Service.
