[ARCHIVED] City of West Fargo waives fees at Transfer Station leading up to Cleanup Week

Fees

Cleanup Week will return Monday, May 3, through Friday, May 7. This is the annual City event to clear properties of unwanted items. To prepare, the City of West Fargo will not charge the $10 appliance disposal fee at the Transfer Station the week before.

The Transfer Station is at 1620 Main Ave. W. and is open Monday through Saturday throughout the year. West Fargo residents can throw out extra garbage, recycling, yard waste, branches and large items free of charge here. After May 1, residents can continue to dispose of appliances at the Transfer Station for a $10 fee.

No matter the time of year, there are a few items that cannot go curbside for disposal. Hazardous wastes such as paints, oils and varnishes must be go to the Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 606 43 1/2 St N, Fargo. Residents must bring grass clippings, branches, compost materials and other organic materials to one of the yard waste sites in West Fargo.

During Cleanup Week, there is no branch collection because the truck is hauling large, curbside items. Construction debris can be placed curbside during Cleanup Week, but cannot go curbside the rest of the year.
