[ARCHIVED] Concrete patching on 4th Avenue NW, 7th Street E. and 21st Street NW to begin Monday, Sept. 27

Concrete patching repairs will begin on portions of 4th Avenue NW, 7th Street E. and 21st Street NW Monday, Sept. 27. Repairs are anticipated to be complete by Monday, Oct. 11.    

Closed areas include the intersection of 4th Avenue NW and 21st Street NW. For regional and through traffic, the detour route will use 2nd Avenue NW to 15th Street NW. 

The intersection of 21st Street NW and 3rd Avenue NW will have a partial lane closure. For business access east of the closure, the detour route will use 15th Street NW. 

The intersection of 1st Avenue E. and 7th Street E. will have a full lane closure. The detour route will direct traffic to 2nd Avenue E. to 5th Street E. and then north to Main Avenue E. For regional and through traffic, the detour route will use Main Avenue E. to 9th Street NE. 

Motorists in these areas may encounter congestion and delays during the morning and evening commutes and should adjust their travel plans accordingly. Always use the ‘S’ check when traveling in and around construction areas – check your speed, space and stress.
