[ARCHIVED] City of West Fargo hosting public input session on community’s brand

The City of West Fargo is hosting a public focus group at 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, in the Foyer of West Fargo City Hall. During the group, attendees will get to share their views on West Fargo as a place to live, do business and visit. The goal is to engage the public about how they describe West Fargo to enhance the community’s brand.

The event is in the Foyer of West Fargo City Hall to provide adequate spacing. Attendees can enter from the north and south parking lots. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available. Attendees at the event will also be able to use mobile devices to provide feedback.

The West Fargo Public Library will also host a pop-up library at City Hall during the event for children. Library staff members will be on hand with activities and books for checkout.

The focus group is part of a project to engage with the community and study West Fargo’s brand to create a distinct identity. Community brands are a tool that helps attract new businesses, workforce, residents and visitors. This project's funding comes from economic development sales tax.

The City of West Fargo will also host interviews and smaller focus groups with a variety of community members. Information from these activities will help form a community online survey at a later date. The initiative will also include a review of competitors.
