Beginning Monday, Oct. 4, 7th Avenue E. is scheduled to close for through traffic near Service Club Park for sanitary sewer rehabilitation. The road will close from 3rd Street E. to 7th Street E., with traffic detouring to 4th Avenue E. Local traffic access to homes and businesses in the closure will be maintained. Weather permitting, the road is expected to full reopen by Friday, Oct. 8.
The road is closing for a City of West Fargo project to upgrade aging infrastructure in the core area of West Fargo to prevent sanitary sewer failures and allow for easier maintenance. This project will be not be funded with special assessments.
The road may close again in the coming weeks for a West Fargo Park District project at the Service Club Park entrance.
Motorists in these areas may encounter congestion and delays during the morning and evening commutes and should adjust their travel plans accordingly. Always use the ‘S’ check when traveling in and around construction areas – check your speed, space and stress.
