[ARCHIVED] City of West Fargo seeks applicants for Public Art Advisory Committee

The City of West Fargo is seeking applicants to fill two open positions on its Public Art Advisory Committee. Commission members must reside within West Fargo city limits and must be able to commit to attending a one-hour, monthly meeting. 


Applications are open through Dec. 31, and can be completed at https://lf.westfargond.gov/Forms/Application-Boards.

No prior experience with public art is necessary but those who are artists are strongly encouraged to apply. Each committee member is appointed to a three-year term by the West Fargo City Commission President and is subject to confirmation by the West Fargo City Commission.


The Public Art Advisory Committee was formed in 2020 to review and recommend public art  installations and performances on City-owned public property to the City Commission. The Committee assists City staff in identifying ordinances or procedures that can be streamlined or enhanced to better promote public art within City limits. They also whe also seeking ways to engage the West Fargo community to improve the quality of life for the city’s residents through the promotion of public art.
