At approximately 10 p.m., Friday, Feb. 25, the West Fargo Police Department responded to a report of a stolen delivery driver’s vehicle in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue E. It was stolen while the car was running and the driver was making a delivery.
Officers located and attempted to stop the vehicle, which was stolen by Noel Sauceda Jr., a 31-year old male with no permanent address. Sauceda Jr. fled from officers, driving throughout West Fargo and on to I-94 at high speeds. Following a short pursuit, officers deployed tire deflation spikes to disable the vehicle. Sauceda Jr. then attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended and transported to the Cass County Jail.
“I want to commend all of the officers involved for their quick actions to bring this pursuit to an end while keeping our community safe,” said Chief Denis Otterness.
Sauceda Jr. is facing a number of charges including Reckless Endangerment and Fleeing, a Class C felony. This is an ongoing investigation and no further comment can be provided at this time. Additional charges are possible.
The West Fargo Police Department would like to thank the North Dakota Highway Patrol for their assistance in the pursuit and apprehension of Sauceda Jr.
