[ARCHIVED] West Fargo Fire Department responds to Saturday afternoon storage unit fire

At approximately 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, the West Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to 650 2nd Avenue NW, West Fargo Storage Units, for a storage unit fire. When crews arrived on scene, flames were visible from multiple storage units. Crews began fighting a defensive fire to gain control of the scene. 

Upon further investigation, one of the storage units appeared to be illegally inhabited. No individuals were found at the scene upon arrival. The West Fargo Fire Department was notified that individuals were treated at a local hospital for burn injuries. 

Multiple storage units sustained significant damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation with the cost of damages to be determined. No emergency personnel were injured. 

The West Fargo Fire Department was assisted by the West Fargo Police Department, Fargo Fire Department, Salvation Army and Sanford Ambulance.
