Property owners in the improvement district have the opportunity to object to the proposed assessments in two ways. They may submit the objection in writing to the City Auditor (firstname.lastname@example.org or Attn: Special Assessment Objection, 800 Fourth Ave. E., Suite 1, West Fargo, ND 58078). Or, they may appear in person at the Special Assessment Commission public hearing.
Information about these projects, including improvement district maps, can be found at https://www.westfargond.gov/1021/Special-Assessment-Projects. A list of proposed special assessments, along with the time and date of this public hearing will appear in the legal section of The Forum.
During the Special Assessment Commission public hearing, impacted property owners may attend and present their objections. Based on these objections, or new information presented at the public hearing, the Special Assessment Commission may alter the assessment allocations or confirm the list as it was published.
