The West Fargo Fire Department is hosting a public stakeholder meeting at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022. The purpose of this meeting is to gather community feedback on the department’s functions and programs. This information will inform a new strategic plan that is built around the community. The meeting is in the Lt. Adam Gustafson East Training Room at West Fargo City Hall (800 4th Ave. E., West Fargo).
The West Fargo Fire Department is an all-hazards, combination fire department that responds to fires, rescues, hazmat and emergency and technical rescue calls and provide community risk reduction services. In 2021, the department responded to 2, 539 calls for service which is a 459% increase in five years.
During the meeting, attendees will learn about the department’s strategic management and planning process. Then, they will have an opportunity to provide comments on department priorities and areas of concern in the community that the department can help address.
