The annual West Fest celebration is returning to the City of West Fargo this week. This year’s theme, “Better than Ever" was voted on through social media, as it celebrates the event’s full return after changes in previous years from road construction and COVID-19.
The week of events begins with Cruise Night Thursday, Sept. 15, from 4:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at The Downtown Yards of Sheyenne. This is the final Cruise Night event of 2022, and features a classic car show, food vendors and live music.
The Grand Parade begins at noon Saturday, Sept. 17. The newly expanded route will start at Main Avenue W. and travel south on Sheyenne Street to 10th Avenue W.
In addition to the parade, Saturday’s events will include a Craft and Vendor Show, Family Fun and street dance in the POW/MIA Plaza. West Fest concludes Sunday, Sept. 18, with West Fargo Park District’s Honkin’ Haulin’ Hands on Trucks from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Arena. This event allows kids to get hands on experience with large trucks, construction and farming equipment.
