[ARCHIVED] Sheyenne Street southbound lane reductions beginning Tuesday, Sept. 20 for sewer inspection

Sheyenne Street southbound lane reductions (PNG)

Southbound Sheyenne Street, from Rue Avenue to 19th Avenue W., will experience intermittent lane reductions beginning Tuesday, Sept. 20 for sewer inspection. Inspections are anticipated to be complete by Friday, Sept. 23.

The inspection uses high pressure water to clean sewer pipes and a camera to inspect the sewer system. Homeowner’s pipes are not included in this project, but will include each property’s connection point to the main line to mark the location.

When crews are working in property owner’s area, residents may experience a surge of water or lack of water in their sewer trap, which is a fixture in a property’s main drain line that prevents sewer gases from entering the property. This change in water could also include a sewage smell. Residents should contact Public Works at (701) 515-5400 regarding project location updates, smells or unusual sewer system activity.
