At approximately 4 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, the West Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to the 500 block of 17th Street E for a residential structure fire. When crews arrived on scene, there were several active fires throughout the home. Crews knocked down the fires in approximately 30 minutes.
There were three adults in the home at the time of the fire. A victim was treated by Sanford Ambulance. Two dogs were also rescued from the home and treated on scene by crews.
The property sustained smoke and fire damages. The cause of the fire is under investigation with the cost of damages to be determined. K9 Mika was deployed at the scene because indications of arson were present.
The Salvation Army and Red Cross will assist the residents who were displaced by the fire. The West Fargo Fire Department was assisted by the West Fargo Police Department, Fargo Fire Department, Sanford Ambulance, Fargo-Moorhead Salvation Army and the American Red Cross.
