On Wednesday, Feb. 8, West Fargo Police Department officers assisted the Fargo Police Department with a reported incident in the City of Fargo involving a firearm inside a business near the intersection of 28th Avenue S. and Veterans Boulevard. As this incident took place on the border of the City of West Fargo, the West Fargo Public Schools placed Sheyenne High School, Liberty Middle School, Freedom Elementary, and Independence Elementary into an exterior lockdown. This incident also placed Trinity Elementary into a lockdown out of an abundance of caution. 

There are no active threats located within the impacted schools.
