Due to current and anticipated weather conditions through tomorrow, all City of West Fargo offices and buildings, including City Hall, Police Department, Fire Department, Pioneer Center offices, Public Library, Sanitation, Public Works and the Transfer Station, are closed Wednesday, April 5.
The West Fargo Municipal Court in-person and ITV appearances are canceled. Recycling collection is also canceled and Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday recycling routes are delayed by one day for the rest of the week. This change only impacts recycling. Garbage will still be collected on schedule.
Public safety agencies and essential services will be in full operation for the residents of West Fargo. Snow plow crews are operating in rotating 12-hour shifts for the duration of the storm to maintain roads in West Fargo. They will focus on snow emergency routes while the snow is actively falling or moving due to winds.
City officials encourage residents to remain off the roads if possible for their safety and the safety of the snowplow drivers. They are also stressing the importance of moving all vehicles off city streets to ensure efficient and effective snow removal operations. If residents must drive, it is essential to stay at least 5 car lengths behind the plow.
