[ARCHIVED] West Fargo Fire Department responds to Friday afternoon structure fire


At approximately 4 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023, the West Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to 1003 Brookwood Lane for a structure fire. When crews arrived on scene, there was a small, structure fire with heavy black smoke coming from the roof of a mobile home. Crews quickly knocked down and contained the active fire within minutes of arrival.  

The property sustained significant smoke damage and minimal fire damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation with the cost of damages yet to be determined. No emergency personnel or residents were injured. The West Fargo Fire Department removed eight dogs, with seven surviving the fire. One resident, and seven dogs, will be displaced.

The West Fargo Fire Department was assisted by the West Fargo Police Department, Sanford Ambulance, Salvation Army and the Red Cross.
