On August 8, 2018 at approximately 10:20 AM West Fargo officers stopped a motorist later identified as, Mario Palacios II, for speeding in a construction zone. Palacios was driving with a Suspended Driver’s License and during his arrest Palacios attempted to flee on foot.  Officers were able to apprehend Palacios almost immediately, and a brief struggle occurred.  During the arrest a West Fargo Police officer was injured and transported by ambulance. His injuries are not known, but are not severe. Palacios was arrested for Driving Under Suspension, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana, and a citation for speeding in a construction zone.
