[ARCHIVED] Early September traffic changes and closures for southwest section of West Fargo

Sheyenne Street Sept. Traffic Changes

New traffic control changes and road closures are coming to the southwest section of West Fargo beginning Saturday, Sept. 1.

On Saturday, Sept. 1, crews on the Sheyenne Street reconstruction project will move traffic on the 32nd Avenue W. intersection to head-to-head traffic on the south side of the road. A dedicated left-turn lane will be available for motorists heading west on 32nd Avenue W. who would like to turn south on to Sheyenne Street. This traffic control change does not close any roads. Sheyenne Street is currently closed from south of 26th Avenue W. to north of 32nd Avenue W. for this same project.

On Tuesday, Sept. 4, a series of Sheyenne River Diversion bridge closures will occur on 40th, 32nd and 21st Avenues W. so crews can install guard rails on the bridges to increase safety. These bridges cross the Sheyenne River Diversion east of 15th Street W. The schedule begins with the 40th Avenue W. bridge closing Sept. 4-10, the 21st Avenue W. bridge closing Sept. 10-17, and the 32nd Avenue W. bridge closing Sept. 17-24.

On Saturday, Sept. 8, 40th Avenue W. from Sheyenne Street to Ninth Street W. will be reduced to head-to-head traffic on the south side of the road for crews to perform concrete coring on the road. This reduction will last until 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10.
