(West Fargo, N.D. - Oct. 12, 2018) Ninth Avenue NW and 11th Avenue NW will close at Armour Street NW beginning Monday, Oct. 15, for mandrel testing of the sanitary sewer in the area. 10th Avenue NW will remain open.
Mandrel testing is used to inspect the inside of underground pipes and sewer conduits for deformities, damage and blockages. In order to perform the testing, a bypass system will be created for the existing sanitary sewer flow, which will run across Armour Street NW at Eighth Avenue NW and continue north on the west side of Armour Street NW. The testing is projected to last three days, barring any complications.
During the testing, Armour Street NW and adjacent driveways will be open to traffic through the use of ramps. The intersections are estimated to reopen Thursday, Oct. 18.
