Celebrate West Fargo Schools Proclamation


WHEREAS, the students of our schools are the future leaders of our world; and

WHEREAS, the West Fargo Public School District prepares all students with the knowledge and skills to be compassionate, contributing citizens in a rapidly changing world; and

WHEREAS, one of those schools, Freedom Elementary, was awarded the U.S. Department of Education’s National Blue Ribbon award for being an Exemplary High Performing School based on student achievement data and performance over time.

WHEREAS, this award recognizes the hard work of Freedom Elementary and West Fargo Public School District students, educators and families to create a respectful, inclusive, compassionate and kind learning environment that provides all students an opportunity to succeed; and

WHEREAS, this is the second consecutive year a West Fargo Public School District school has earned a Blue Ribbon designation for high learning standards; and

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of West Fargo formally designates Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, as a special day to celebrate the achievements of the West Fargo Public School District, Freedom Elementary, students, educators and our community in preparing the leaders of tomorrow.
