Northbound traffic on Ninth Street E. will reduce to two lanes beginning Friday, May 17, 2019, for crews to finalize work on the intersection. This reduction is necessary for crews to raise a gate valve in the northbound left turn lane of Ninth Street E.

Beginning Friday, both left turn lanes of northbound Ninth Street E. will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for crews to complete the work. The remaining two lanes will provide a left-turn only lane and a lane for right turns and through traffic. This work is expected to last one day, weather permitting. Traffic will remain reduced for five days following the work to allow the new concrete to cure. During that time, the western left turn lane will reopen and traffic will utilize a dedicated left turn lane, one through lane and one lane for through traffic and right turns.

The right lane of 13th Avenue E. will also close at 9 a.m. May 20, 2019, to remove and replace the sidewalk in front of Alerus Financial. This closure is necessary to allow equipment and trucks adjacent to the work and is anticipated to last until 6 p.m., but may include some overnight work.
