At approximately 12:24 a.m. Thursday, July 11, the West Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire at the 100 block of Third Avenue W. in West Fargo. En route to the fire, the call was upgraded to a structure fire due to the vehicle’s proximity to a garage and large tree with low-hanging branches near the vehicle.

On scene, the team was able to assess that only the vehicle was on fire with the engine compartment completely engulfed and the body of the vehicle also on fire. The crew knocked down the fire quickly and the engine hood was exposed using the spreader to further put out hot spots.

No other structure or materials were found to have caught fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation per West Fargo Fire Department standard protocol.
