Say goodbye to overdue fines!

The West Fargo Public Library no longer charges fines for overdue materials following a policy change approved by the West Fargo Public Library Board of Directors. No new fines will accumulate on accounts except in the case of lost or damaged items.

"Under this new policy, patrons with overdue items won’t be turned away due to financial circumstances," Library Director Carissa Hansen said. “This is an incredibly important step for us, as we aim to be accessible to all people regardless of socioeconomic status. We don’t want patrons to avoid the library or be unable to use our resources due to inability to pay a fine.” Read on...

RED Day End of Summer Celebration registration closes tonight Monday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m.

Registration for this event ends TONIGHT at 7 p.m. Be sure to register your family to receive your free book, craft kits and the link to our Zoom event so you and your children can join in the fun on Wednesday night. The little red reading bus West Fargo will be delivering the kits throughout West Fargo tomorrow evening or you can come pick up your kits at the library beginning tomorrow morning. Learn more.

One Book, One Community fall events announced 

The West Fargo Public Library is excited to join fellow regional libraries for this year's One Book, One Community events series. This year's book is The Lager Queen of Minnesota by J. Ryan Stradal. In theme with this year's book, the West Fargo Public Library is hosting a series of Women in Business speaker events, recipe videos courtesy of Square One Kitchens and more. In September, J. Ryan Stradal will join us for a virtual presentation as well.
