One Book, One Community metro-wide reading challenge now available on Beanstack

It's August, which means it's time for the Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo One Book, One Community program. This year's read is "Everything You Wanted to Know About Indians but Were Afraid to Ask" by Anton Treuer. Readers can join the challenge at westfargolibrary.beanstack.org. Keep an eye on the West Fargo Public Library calendar at westfargolibrary.org for programs related to this year's One Book, One Community topic too.

Underwear (& More) Donation Drive

The West Fargo Public Library is hosting our first Underwear (& More) Donation Drive. We are specifically looking for new and unopened underwear, bras, diapers and socks of all sizes and for all ages.

You can bring your donations to the West Fargo Public Library through Aug. 30, 2021. On Aug. 31, the library will give all donated materials to the Indigenous Association, a local organization that supports members of the indigenous community. A representative from The Indigenous Association will visit the library for a public Q&A event from 6 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31 as well.

Little Red Reading Bus route ends Aug. 11; RED Fest Aug. 12

We had so much fun out on the bus route with you this summer. The Little Red Reading Bus is wrapping up its route and Aug. 11 is the last day of scheduled route stops. We hope you can join us a few more times before then!
Keep in mind, any books checked out at the bus stops need to be returned, even though the bus route is over. Return your items to the West Fargo Public Library or in one of our book return drops in town. Also, don't forget to pick up your Summer Boost prizes on or before Aug. 12 and be sure to come party with us during RED Fest from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at Rendezvous Park.

Summer Boost participants and/or their parents or guardians are invited to take a short survey about their experience. Survey responses will be used to help as we plan future and recurring library programs, like Summer Boost and the Little Red Reading Bus. Survey takers are eligible for a prize drawing. The West Fargo Public Library offers TONS of online resources FREE for you to use to learn, play, explore, and find the answers you need. Here's a patron favorite.

Volunteers Needed for Technology Coaching Fall 2021

We are looking for some technologically savvy folks to help guide adult library patrons as they learn and develop basic technology skills like setting up social media or email accounts, basic computer or smartphone use, downloading and using apps and websites, and streaming or downloading e-books and audiobooks.
