Individuals interested in accessing only the library's online resources can apply online for a West Fargo Public Library E-card. E-cardholders have access to many of the same resources as full-access library cardholders, including:

A library card allows you to borrow materials, use online databases, and use the computers in the library.
Library cards will be issued to residents of West Fargo and the West Fargo school district (including Horace and Harwood), West Fargo property owners, and employees of the West Fargo school district and the City of West Fargo at no charge. Residents of Fargo and Moorhead may obtain a card at no charge if they present a library card from either the Fargo Public Library or Lake Agassiz Regional Library (LARL). Others may obtain borrowing privileges for a $5.00 annual fee.
Children are invited to obtain their own library cards. Applications (PDF) for children under 14 must be signed by a parent or guardian who assumes full responsibility for any materials used by their children. The parent must provide identification and proof of current address.
Application forms (PDF) can be downloaded and printed or pick one up at the Service Desk. All applications must be signed and submitted in person at the Library Service Desk, along with identification and proof of address.Fargo Public Library and Lake Agassiz Regional Library (LARL) card holders may also obtain a West Fargo Public Library card by presenting their home library card along with identification and proof of address.

Please report all lost or stolen cards immediately. You will be responsible for any items checked out on your card unless you have notified the library that it is missing.Replacement cards are available to replace a lost card for a $1.00 fee. Damaged cards may be replaced at no charge.
Cards can be updated with proof of address or name change at no cost.
At the time you apply for a card, you can check out 2 items. Afterwards, the limit is 30 items per card. This can include up to 10 DVDs and/or Blu-Rays, and 10 music CDs.

Items obtained from another library on interlibrary loan may be renewed at the discretion of the lending library. Renewal requests for interlibrary loan items must be submitted to the West Fargo Public Library in person or by phone at 701-551-8940 at least 3 business days (this does not include weekends and holidays) before the item is due.
