  2. Veterans Day - Schedule Changes and Closures

    November 11, 2019, All Day @ City of West Fargo

    The City of West Fargo is closed Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, in observance of Veterans Day. There is no garbage collection that day. Monday and Tuesday garbage will be collected Tuesday, Nov. 12. Recycling will be collected Monday, Nov. 11, 2019. On Monday, Nov. 11, all municipal government buildings are also closed to the public, including City Hall, Public Library, Sanitation, Public Works and the Transfer Station. Public safety agencies are in full operation but the West Fargo Police and Fire Department buildings are closed to the public on this day.   3. Annual West Fargo VFW Post 7564 and Auxiliary Veterans Day Program

    The West Fargo VFW Post 7564 and Auxiliary will hold their annual Veterans Day program Monday, Nov. 11, 2019. The event will begin with a flag-raising ceremony at 10:45 a.m. at the POW/MIA Plaza (400 Sheyenne St., West Fargo), followed by a program inside the VFW Club (444 Sheyenne St. West Fargo). The program will include speakers, rifle volley salute by the VFW Honor Guard, playing of taps and a special ceremony to honor prisoners of war and soldiers who are missing in action. This event is free and open to the public.
